Peter, nice work. Of course there are many questions:
I’m still not convinced of your choice of insulated Pre-cast panels, especially as you are adding studs and GWB on the inside. You would be able to get the same appearance from the outside with a simple 6” pre-cast panel. This panel would however allow you to have up to 1” recesses to add texture to the façade. On the inside you would be free to add more than 2” of spray applied foam insulation, the same (2 ½”) stud and ½” unrated GWB could be your interior finish. The embedded connection of course are penetrating the insulation layer, but on the other hand transitions on the roof and at the base are made easier.
As your pre-cast panel is hung column to column, you don’t necessarily need to provide a “brick shelf” supporting the panel. Below the panel a granite base can make the connection to the ground, or you can even extend the pre-cast panel to below the grade level. You do want to try to have a continuous insulation layer from the core of the panel to well below grade. The 8” min. of exposed foundation wall is a typical requirement in wood construction to keep termites and other critters out of your building.
The floor below exhibit level will need to be insulated where you have a garage below, or other un-heated space.
The metal panel at the roof edge detail @ class room itself is a system that is supposed to do it all: exterior skin, air and water barrier, insulation and vapor barrier. The continuous air barrier and sheathing is a belt-and-suspender type element much in Wagdis’ spirit. I would caution with the additional layer of spray foam on the inside as you will potentially move your dew point to where you create condensate somewhere inside your assembly.
I would love to see the green wall added to that detail. I’m still not convinced about the use of the green wall on the north side. My fear is it will be more a brown or even empty wall: what plant does grow on the north side?
